Terra Nova Football Club

Football is an obsession in Uganda. Terra Nova Football uses that passion to give kids a safe place to spend their school holidays, grow strong physically, and learn how the disciplines necessary for success on the pitch are also the keys to success off of the pitch. 

Uganda has one of the world’s youngest and fastest growing populations. Football is one area in which Ugandans are willing to invest which creates scholarships to schools kids in our neighborhood would never be able to afford. Our training has facilitated more than 60 kids earning a high school education.

Terra Nova Football Academy begins with five year old boys and girls. During the long breaks between school terms these kids can learn the beautiful game. Terra Nova Football Club allows the elite players from the Academy to compete in Uganda’s club league showcasing their talents for high school, college, and professional clubs.

Terra Nova Football Academy opened in 2011 with approximately 40 student athletes. The Football Academy has also grown into an amateur club with more than 40 young adult athletes. We've seen eight players sign professional contracts, three players with playing time on Uganda's national team, and one has gone on to attend the University of Cincinnati.
