Alisha Damron-Seruyange, MDiv
Co-Founder, Executive Director | Birmingham, Alabama and Kampala, Uganda
Alisha Damron Seruyange is a co-founder and the Executive Director of Terra Nova Academy. Alisha first visited East Africa in 2005 where she spent six months on a dairy farm in Nakasongola district. After returning to Uganda in 2007 and 2008, it became clear that Alisha wanted to dig her hands into community development in Kampala. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Samford University and a Master's of Divinity from Duke University Divinity School. In May of 2009, Alisha threw off her graduation gown and boarded a plane back to Kampala, launching herself into a 15-year-long journey of ministry, education, and community development. Today she is living a hybrid life-splitting her time between Birmingham, Alabama and Kampala, Uganda.
When she's not planning or dreaming or thinking about Terra Nova, you'll find Alisha tinkering with recipes, swimming with her children, or reading the latest in educational resources, leadership development, and children's literature. alisha@terranovauganda.org |
